Good for small items - comfortably fits my wallet, cellphone, lipsticks and, if I'm feeling like reading, a small paperback. Works nicely as either a crossbody or hanging from my shoulder. Cherry is a red with brightness to it, like a bit of a pink edge (actually it looks like it does on the website). Very well made - soft and comfortable, the chain is the right length so that the synthetic leather strap always sits on the shoulder. Very happy with this purchase!
